At National Private Client Group, we do one thing and we do it well: we build your wealth by creating a personal banking system for individuals, businesses and families. Using a specially-designed whole life insurance policy (mutual) as the place to store your money, we teach you how to operate exactly as a bank does to multiply and keep more of the money you make.

For the past decade, National Private Client Group, under the direction of Founder and President, Julie Ann Hepburn, has specialized in the development of the Self-Empowered Banking Systemsm, our own brand of building wealth to help reduce debt and save for the future. We have honed our skills, learning all the financial nuances and requirements necessary to establish personal banks.

Our primary goal is to first teach you about how the banking system makes money financing your life or your business. We then help you establish and manage a sound financial strategy using the Self-Empowered Banking System to become your own banker and reap all the same benefits that the traditional banking system does. The only difference is that from day one, you are in complete control.

Our Team

Julie Ann Hepburn

Julie Ann Hepburn, is a Private Banking Expert and Financial Coach. She is the founder and principal of National Private Client Group, LLC , a Chicago based financial consulting group. Ms. Hepburn is a licensed finance professional, and serves as an agent and consultant for several major mutual insurance carriers.

After more than six years working in the traditional employee benefits, estate and investment planning arena for clients, Ms. Hepburn discovered a better way to help people build wealth and become financially self-empowered.

With that as her mission, in 1999, she began to teach individuals and companies how to leverage the money they earn by helping them to create their own personal banking system.

In teaching her clients how to use the same principles that banks and institutions use to make money, Ms. Hepburn put total control of her clients’ earnings back in their hands.

Ms. Hepburn’s method, the Self Empowered Banking Systemsm provides several additional benefits, which include:

  • Redirecting the flow of financing costs back to the individual or company.
  • Maximizing access to, and liquidity and control of capital.
  • Creating a natural hedge against inflation.

Melissa Shary

Associate: Chicago & Midwest

Melissa Shary came into the financial services industry in 2005 as a traditional insurance broker. Shortly thereafter she was introduced to National Private Client Group, LLC. Realizing that traditional financial planners, and the so-called “experts” don’t always work for the betterment of the clients, she decided to join NPCG, LLC in 2006 and educate clients on how banking, and money, truly works.

Ms. Shary teaches sensible strategies ensuring all clients feel comforted and informed about their future, and look to her as a resource to help them achieve what they believe is most important. As part of the NPCG team, Ms. Shary helps clients understand and review their overall financial picture. The use of the Self-Empowered Banking System is a dynamic part of the education of a client’s perspective of money.

Ms. Shary is from the Chicago area, growing up in the western suburb of Glen Ellyn. She attended college at the University of Iowa, and then studied abroad in both Costa Rica and Mexico. She graduated from DePaul University in 2003 with a degree in Hispanic Language and Culture.

With more than 16 years experience in the service industry, including restaurant management, Ms. Shary has great insight into how small businesses are run. She also has completed her real estate agent exam, bringing additional value to the firm, as her knowledge of real estate often plays a key part in meeting the needs of her client base. One of her favorite quotes is Warren Buffet’s statement: “Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.” Her diligence and high energy serves our clients in the most efficient and effective ways for their continued success.

David Osmond

David Osmond has been a client and practitioner of Self-Empowered Banking* since 2011 when he met National Private Client Group’s Julie Ann Hepburn and read Infinite Banking founder Nelson Nash’s Becoming Your Own Banker. What started as a personal interest soon grew into a passion to teach the benefits of using a Self-Empowered Banking System to manage your finances. As an agent for mutual life insurance company, Dr. Osmond is committed to ensuring all clients have the practical tools to plan for their future while simultaneously avoiding the pitfalls that are rife throughout the traditional banking industry.

A Biomedical Sciences professor and researcher, Dr. Osmond currently splits his time between teaching at a public university in Georgia and sharing with clients the power that Self-Empowered Banking brings to their financial situations. With a background in both medical research and public education, Dr. Osmond offers a unique perspective on how the “one-size-fits-all” approach to medicine, education, and banking has imprisoned hardworking people into believing that the “experts” are always right. As the late Austrian economist Murray Rothbard said, “No action can be virtuous unless it is freely chosen.” To choose best one must be educated in and clearly understand the options. Adept at teaching across disciplines, Dr. Osmond is determined to share those options with clients.

Throughout his career, Dr. Osmond has had the opportunity to teach all ages of people about the true nature of money and the role of cash-flow in personal financial stability. He once worked with a small group of high school students in the South Valley area of Albuquerque. By watching their parents live underwater financially, even though they were doing the “right things according to the experts,” these students knew that their parents were not told the truth about managing and investing money. When Dr. Osmond introduced his students to the principles of cash-flow and Self-Empowered Banking, he saw an immediate shift in their understanding of how money works. This group of teenagers became innovators of financial freedom and began to see through the “helpful” government programs that were making their families financial servants of the wealthy.
